School.

I am out of school for a whole three months!! Yay!! I will now go on to tell you crazy crap that happened in the last two months of school , in list form!

  • The very last Springfield Borders bookstore went out of business. I cried when I heard the grim news. I bought a book on my very last trip to Borders. I was sad. * cue sad face*

  • The lock on my locker had to cut off. It got stuck after lunch one day and I had to go get the custodian and I also had to go to the assistant principal for a new lock. It was really screw-y.

  • I got my yearbook. Not exactly what you would call crazy but, holy crap! I'm in a lot of pictures.

  • It rained. Not just a sprinkle, no, this was hard rain that was insanely cold and it was falling at full force. Also, it always seemed to come right as I got off the bus and walked a block east toward my house. I also turned blonde and temporarily misplaced my umbrella during these fits of rain.

  • We had a discussion on how dangerous lightning is in science class. Later that same day, as I was walking home wearing my wire- framed glasses, mostly metal earrings, a sterling silver neacklace and ring, there's a freaking LIGHTNING STORM!!!!!! Scared out of my wits, I sprint home barefoot, (I didn't want my shoes to get wet.) like a madman on fire and unlock the door as fast as possible and step into the entry way sopping wet and freezing cold.

  • I was in a church musical. I think I did pretty well, I mean you would too if you won two Tony awards for outstanding performance in a church musical and best church musical set painting . Neil Patrick Harris is very nice, by the way. He hosted the Tony Awards this year for those of you who didn't know.

There is probably a whole handful of events I left out and I just can't remember them or I left them out for legal reasons.

Summer. Finally.

Summer is here. After a month of crap and wanting to go on a vacation to some exotic place, like London, and wishing I was some really awesome person, I am going to try to blog on a semi- regular basis. Here's some vital information for future blog posts-

  • School. It's out and there was some crazy stuff that happened in the months preceeding the Last Day.

  • I am moving to a different house. I have some "interesting" thoughts on this subject.

  • Facebook went all crazy on me and disabled my account for freaking reason. I am going to call Mark Zuckernerd. (No, the "Nerd" part is not a typo. I just call him that. It's shorter than the other name I could have given him- Mark Zuckerharvardnerd.)

  • There was a tornado an hour and a half away from house!! You might have heard of it, the tornado in Joplin, Mo. Yeah, I remember watching Ron the Weather Man during this storm in my basement.

  • I got a sewing machine. No later post on this one, I just thought I'd add it in. It's a shiney black Singer from the late '40s. It weighs a freaking ton! Not kidding!

I think that's about it. New posts to come. I pinkey swear, well, I am in my mind.

Must I Have a Nose?!

I have a cold. My face hurts, too. Grrrrr! I also want to sneeze, like, all the freaking time. *Snort, sniff* It's also really hot. Grr. But, on the bright side, I got a one minus at piano contest! There's a companion story to that.
First period Science-Monday after contest

Girl who I was in honor choir with who got all the solos and crap: Hey, Meredith what dd you get on your piano solo? (surprisingly real curious look on her face)
Me: I don't know I haven't gotten the sheet yet. Why?
GWIWIHCWWGATSAC: I don't know, I was just wondering. Well, you did pretty good. (This is where she said "pretty good" with the You-sucked-so-badly-I-wanted-to-go-vomit-after-you-were-done-but-I-can't-tell-you-that-because-you-are-awesome-and-could-probably-take-me-down-and-break-my-neck-with-your-pinkie-finger voice.)
Thanks for the back-handed complement, GWIWIHCWWGATSAC! So, then I thought about adding a line to the minus and telling her that I got a one plus because she only got one and I have been playing piano longer than she has.
Ah, back-handed complements are just fun, aren't they! Peace In.

MAYBIE, he's like his clone sent from like another planet or something!! Or maybie, they just look alike. Nah, he's a clone from the future.

So, if any of you have heard of Disciple-Now I was there about a week ago at my friend's church. It was fun. And (brace yourselves!) at dinner on Saturday night (are you still braced?) I saw a guy. But this was not just any guy, this was Paul McCartney's clone! It was like looking at a moving, talking picture of Paul, circa 1966. Anyway, at dinner that night I got his attention ("Hey!") and said, "You look like Paul McCartney." I know, I don't know why I beat around the bush either. And he said, "I know, I've heard that before." Fast- Forward to Sunday morning, we were all hanging out in the youth room, waiting for the church service to start and so naturally, to kill time , I whip out my phone and take some stalker pictures of Paul, Jr. I have four. So, that is my very own little stalker story. This guy had the hair-cut and everythig! It was completaly stalker-worthy.
Stay cool blog readers. Peace In!

What the Holy Freaking Crap?!! My Coffee Maker is Haunted!!

Eleven thirty this morning- I was standing in front of the kitchen sink minding my own business, when all of the sudden the little green power light on my coffee maker started clicking on and off like someone was pushing the on/off button or something. I got a little freaked out at the fact that my coffee maker was clicking at me. Did I mention that the lid of the coffee maker looks like Darth Vader? Yeah, it's a little creepy.
On a different note, yesterday in fourth period Health class, I got to thinking about Spider-Man. I don't really know why but, I thought about his, "super spidey powers." Then, I was thinking about how "spidey" is a really funny word. Then, I wondered how awful it would be if Spider-Man had arachnophobia and then he got bitten by a radio active spider. It would have been a pretty funny little twist on the story, right?
Now for the random portion of this post. I have decided that Ashton Kutcher is one of the best actors of my generation. He rocks my face off. I am on the CMS honor roll. It's really not that hard, you only need a 3.0 GPA. I have like a 3.7 or something, which is not my very best. Last year I had a 4.0. I wrote a story on the editing of Huck Finn for my school newspaper, The Smoke Signal. I gave my article the title The Editing of Huckleberry Finn. Quite original, isn't it?
Here in the middle of the country, we are buried under 12+ inches of snow and we get the added joy of ice. Well, I like snow. I guess that's a good thing since I can't fly off to California or Florida. If any of you blog readers have snow where you are, stay warm. I am an ice cube most of the time now. At this moment , I can't feel my fingers.
Did any one watch that football game on Sunday. Apparently it's like a big thing or something. In the first five minutes, I leaned over to Dad to ask him who was winning maybeabout three times. The only problem was that no one scored yet. I was very happy that Green Bay won. The only problem with Super Bowl 40 was Christina Agulara singing the national anthem. That made everyone at the Super Bowl party at church cringe. I heard that she skipped a line and then she repeated a line and then she screwed up the next line. Not to mention the fact that she was nowhere near the last note of the song. Her reps are saying that she was just so into the song that she messed up. Yeah, right. Even I can sing the national anthem on pitch and I can sing all of the words right. At least Green Bay won. Go Packers!

Randoms in Extended Notation!!!

New Years Resolution: Blog on the weekends
It's 2011! Finally!! I've been waiting for this since January 1st 2010. Here's the randomness that has entered my life since October.
  • I finished all of the Harry Potter books.

Harry Potter is freaking awesome!!! I am his 18th cousin thrice removed. I say this because I have glasses that are rectangular and they have black frames and I have a scar on my nose in the shape of a line from when Obi bit me there when I was like, three or four. Yeah, I can read Obi's mind. Right now he's all like,"Where am I? Hungry! Good thing those poor excuses of cats aren't here to steel my food! (insert evil laugh here.) Bwa ha ha ha! Those-" You know next time I see Obi, I really should tell him to watch his language.

  • Last Wednesday this conversation happened in the car on the way back from "the Texas Tenors"

Me: Hey, Mom, in January when we get the consultation for my braces, I should ask them if they could give me a grill because all the cool people like Fiddy Cent (I said 'Fiddy Cent' like I was some sort of rapper or something) have grills.( I am not really sure if Fiddy Cent has a grill. I am not really a rap person.)

Mom: Who's Fiffty Cents?

Me:Fiddy Cent is a rapper.

( I then went on to explain how a couple years ago on Weekend Update with Seth Meyers and Amy Pohler, Amy was saying something about Fiddy Cent and his name is so freaking hilarious that the crowd laughed every time she said 'Fiddy Cent')

Then Dad joined the conversation saying how rap is stupid and how much he hates Fiddy Cent. Every time Dad said 'Fiddy Cent' I said it in my I'm-not-really-a-rap-person-voice.

  • I am writing a book.

It's about a couple dealing with life. Wow, when I put it like that, it sounds really boring. It's not because, I'm awesome. I just don't have a title, yet. Any suggestions?

  • I got hooked on That '70s Show.

It's a really good show. It's hilarious.

  • I have a pair of Aviator sunglasses.

They are all reflecty and blue. They are also Kenneth Cole.

  • I also got three-inch sparkly heels .

They are peep-toe with silver sparkles but, the heel is a metallic gold. They rock my face off.

  • I ate a Big Mac.

This event is documented on Facebook.

  • I realized how stalker-ish Santa is.

" He knows when you are sleeping. He knows if you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good..." Oh, come on, you know I'm right.

  • I am really interested in '70s fashion.

This one is unexplainable.

  • I am embracing my inner-Brit.

Yeah, I randomly talk in a British accent. I think my inner-Brit is somewhere around my esophagus. You can see it in X-rays- it looks like a little British flag.

If I missed anything, I will post about it next weekend. Peace In!!! Oh, and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Maybe I Should Be in Glee Addicts Anonymous

Yeah, the title speaks for its self. The only thing it doesn't say is, " Hi my name is Meredith and I am a Glee addict." The reason that it doesn't say that is because no one is there to say, "Hi Meredith." in very dull voices.
On a differently random note my life in middle school is completely random and kinda boring.
It's random because while I am at my bus stop in the morning who knows what could happen?!
First act of randomness- lady in her mid 70s to mid 80s was walking her chihuahua looking dog(Normal right? Wrong!) in her pink frilly night gown and she was wearing white socks with those black leather, high heeled slippers. It was really creepy.
Second act of randomness- a tractor drives down the street in front of us. Not as weird as pajama lady but still out of the ordinary.
Third act of randomness- an eighth grade football player who rides my bus brought Popsicles for the whole bus when they got on. It was a nice gesture but I didn't want one. So since I turned the Popsicle down the bus driver gets on that radio thingy and is all like, "Why didn't you take a Popsicle? Everyone got a Popsicle." And I said, "I don't want one." and she was like, "Okay, then."
Middle school life is boring because the sixth graders only have one team, which means that we all have the same teachers. Because of this I haven't been texting as much. It's not all bad it's just weird.
Random burst of randomness- I got a "Facebook", now I will ask you to brace yourselves for the following punctuation mark.....................! Intense.
So that is an update on how boringly random my life has become.
